I have ordered a Nokia E63 which I will receive on Tuesday. I believe it comes with software, but for my needs, I want to install MS Word as well as MS Outlook? What is the exact software called?

Secondly, what internet browser are people using on a phone like that?

    Thanks
    Albie

Nokia uses Symbian OS, not Microsoft Mobile. So you won't be able to run Microsoft software.

All Nokia E series phone has FULL version Quick Office pre-installed. You can upgrade it for free (Nokia E90) to use Microsoft Office 2007 documents. You can read and edit Microsoft Office documents.

My brother has Nokia E90 which was updated to be able to read .DOCX files from Office 2007.

Since it's a Symbian, I think Opera Mini can be installed.

Since this is a Microsoft-related site, a few may help you but you're in luck, my brother is a Nokia expert.

Perhaps I should wait till I have the phone and software, then I can see what it actually has, but do you get the free update from the Microsoft site?

Nope. You get the free update from the servers of the QuickOffice. Just connect it to WiFi and select the update where it says something for Office 2007 (sorry, I'm not aware from the time my brother updated his Nokia E90)

There are a lot of choices but I do hope you will know which one to choose in the update menu.

Nope, since the phone doesn't have a Microsoft compatible OS. The 3rd party software mentioned is capable of reading MS office formatted documents, but it is still 3rd party software that runs on the Symbian OS.
