    What is Microsoft Silverlight and should I install it.
    My computer seems happy the way it is.


    Dell 8300 Win XP Home SP2
    Pentium 4 2.6 gig
    1 gig DDR ram
    Two 80gig hard drives
    DVD-RW
    CD-RW
    ATI 9550 256mb video card.
    SoundMax Intergrated Digital Audio

    A competitor to Flash - both live together harmoniously. I have both installed and suspect I am seeing MS sites presented in a new light :)

    Is it essential/needed - no.
