What is a "Run-time error '482' Printer error"

Good afternoon, Staff and readers,
Immediately upon attempting to install a new download of Weather Tracker (wtrtkr.zip) from kidwaresoftware the process was interrupted by the error message:
Weather Tracker X
Run-time error '482' Printer error

I encountered this error in the past, but have lost the information about resolution.

Can you all give me some help,

This is a bug from your progam. Do you really have a printer device?
You must have one.

 

Run-time error with Weather Tracker (WT)

Appreciate your suggestions. Yes, I have a HP 5550 inkjet printer. At the time of my first WT attempt (I am still recovering from an outside C: drive reformat and reinstallation of the OS last week), I had not yet reinstalled the printer. Later Sunday I finally installed the printer. Then I removed the faulty WT application this morning and made a new attempt at WT with the printer in place: The application now works perfectly. Strange, but for some reason the program "needs a printer" to be comfortable. I never print any weather data, but like Homo sapiens, this Weather Tracker software has a "personality" that must be satisfied.
