:(hey people, i was trying to follow a guide to making my pc more secure, in the services.msc registry, and well, i think i have done somthing,

i did a speed test not so long ago and it was 1500 odd kbs, now my Broadband speed has slowed down to less than 126kbs and it is a turtle,

when i download a file its usually running at 118KB/s now its 16-17KB/s?

what have i done? how can i get it back to normal speed?

i didnt back-up the registry today before i did it, but i found a backed up one from a couple of weeks ago and restored it, but nothings changed... what do i do?

also i noticed wireless connection 4 (my usual one) has changed to wireless connection 2

i know i know, im a dumbarse, but please help.

    Try System Restore.

hello, system restore doesn't work on my PC, its cr*p, every single one i have tried on checkpoints, it says it failed... useless.

i think it may be a problem with the ISP but im not sure, its a strange Coincidence that it happened after the registry tweaks

    Try this...
Download, and install TCP Optimizer: http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
Open it, and put a checkmark in Optimal Settings. Click Apply changes button.
Restart computer, and see if it helped.
