2 days back, I found that my copy/pasting was not working. I taught that system restore will correct the problem but to my surprise when I went to system restore, it said there are no restore point. A day before I checked my restore points and it were there.

Thanks God that I have backup of registry which I used. Now my copy/paste is working But I couldn't recover my restore point.
May be worth to note that I am using Yamicsoft 7 manager for registry cleaning.

    I wonder why it happened?

Any registry tools are usually bad news.

Yamicsoft 7 is what happened. As suggested by Broni. Stay away from registry cleaners!
