These files are located in C:\Windows\temp folder.

I found 15-20 of them today and could delete all but these four.

I am aware that that indicates the files are in use.

    Hi BB,

At the moment, I've one .tmp file in that folder and it's a ZoneAlarm file. So perhaps it's you're firewall that created/using it.

No really good way to tell from that information BB and probably not worth the effort involved in digging around for an answer.

If a reboot leaves them still unwilling to go away, remove-on-boot will take care of them for you.

The files with a tilde (~) in front belong to the Microsoft AntiSpyware program.
Dont know about the g3 file.

The tilde files should be there under the Docs-Settings _______ temp folder.
I believe i saw a thread somewhere in these forums about all can be deleted
except 2 of them, most up-to-date i guess.

One more, spyder should get rid of the g3.dat file but i dont reconize it or what
it belong to. Since its in the temp folder I would suppose its safe to get rid of
    it.

If you wish to try and find out which of your running programs have them open, install wholockme

    OK. Along those lines.

I did a restart and ALL FOUR were overwritten. None could be deleted.

I waited a while and did a Shutdown and reboot and TWO NEW ones were created. The four original could be deleted.

I will work on the suggestion to try wholockme

    Will post results.

    Thanks for the help.

Is right. I THOUGHT so to but went through steps with WhoLockMe and found it to be true.

I also shut MS AntiSpy down and the files would delete.

    Reset MS AntiSpy to load.

    Thanks again
