When trying to ennable the XP Welcome Screen and Fast Switching am told it can not be accomplished until Netware is uninstalled.

This question was already posed by Johanna, 12th November 2003, 21:54 #2. One of the responses to that message recommended editing the registry to obtain the Welcome Screen (& Fast Switching).

My problem is the same but my questions are:

    1. Why is Netware installed? I am not using Novell Network.
    2. Is it save to uninstall it?
    3. ... If the latter is true, how is it uninstalled? It does not appear in the Add or Remove Program list. As far as I can determine it only exists as a driver, netware.drv.
    4. Is leaving Netware installed, but modifying the registry still the best resolution?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Chuck
