I have a client who uninstalled Webroot but the Webroot firewall has remained. Per my research, Webroot can provide a customer with a special uninstaller for their firewall but the uninstaller is not available at their site. Anybody have a copy of the uninstaller? It's supposedly called CleanWDF58025.exe but I have not been able to locate a copy of it.

Because this firewall lingers my client cannot access networks and other programs report Webroot as still active. My client is out of state currently and I need to send him the uninstaller.

Yes, I saw that. My client is in Ohio, I am in VA. I don't even know if he ever setup an account at the Webroot site, which is required to get that type of support. I was hoping someone else had already retrieved that uninstaller and could email it to me, then I could send it to the client.

Well, I did Webroots on-line survey...I was nice and hinted at how techs need access to the uninstaller;)

Have you disabled any Webroot Startup entries, removed the Webroot key in the registry, deleted any folders and files related to Webroot? Also try Revo Uninstaller.

Hi Tony. You can also try running Revo Uninstaller. Hopefully that will be able to remove the remnants of the Webroot Firewall.

The uninstaller has to be able to undo restrictions etc and return them to their default values.

I'll have him reinstall the pgm and remove all restrictions, then uninstall it. Another reason I never use a software firewall! (last one I personnaly used was BID in 2001 before I had a router)
