I need to remove a stored password for one web site only.

Is there any way to do this without deleting for all sites?

    Hi John!

A few minutes ago I did a spring cleaning of my computer, deleting most garbage files. Among those were my cookies and I have to re-login to every site requiring a username and a password.

I think that deleting the appropriate cookie would be the easiest way.

In the Cookies-folder find the cookie(s) named "Your Username "@ "The Actual Site Name ".txt and delete them.

    Regards,
    Christer

Here is the answer as given to me by the site operator.

    Login problems

Ifyou are having problems getting onto eg ftp.XXXXXX.com site it may be because the login details were saved when the site was accessed previously.

How can you tell this has happened?
When you click on the ftp.XXXXXX.com link it does not ask for a username and password but just takes to to the site. When the site comes up you can only see the one file and a couple of directories.

    What is the solution?
    1. Click on the ftp.XXXXXX.com site and let it take you to the wrong site.
    2. In Internet Explorer from the File Menu choose 'Login As'
    3. Enter the correct username and password

When logging in on a FTP server, the username and password can be included in the URL of the shortcut:

    "username ": "password "@ftp.XXXXXX.com

The username and password will not be required when logging in and will not, to my knowledge, be stored anywhere by Windows.
