Ok, I hate using SP2, but I got a piece of software that requires I use it, so, I did the update to SP2. Before I installed SP2, everything worked perfectly... this problem primarily pertains to IE6. Web pages like PHP based image galleries and forums such as this one would load fine but after I installed SP2, only the header of the page would load.

For instance, I go to windowsbbs.com and only the logo and the first top of the page loads. None of the content loads. This happens on so many sites! Everything works fine in Firefox, but not IE. So I decided to take SP2 off and revert back to SP1. Did not solve the problem. I am so frustrated! I've tried repairing IE, reinstalling IE, etc...

Anyone know whats going on? I get no errors at all. It just doesn't load!

This an an issue specific only to your computer and/or your IE settings. There are too many variables so asking "what are your IE settings" is moot. Try setting IE to use it's default settings and see how things go. If still have issues you probably have interference from 3rd party software such as browser plugins like popup stoppers, security plugins etc. Or spyware/malware has messed up your IE.

I've tried every avenue. IE is set to default. I have run adaware numerous times and I have no plugins. It's obvious that its specific to my computer. This is so annoying. Is it possible adaware is not finding everything? Any other antispyware soft you suggest?

Posting rule #4 calls for a meaningful thread title. "IE annoyance" wasn't. I changed the title for you.

Try Spybot. It usually finds things Ad-Aware misses and vice versa.

Microsoft recommends you scan for and remove spyware and then temporarily disable any antivirus programs that may be running before installing SP2. My experience has been that if that is not done, things do not go well after installing SP2.
