I have purchased a 3TB WD external hard drive. It now no longer high lites by Windows 7 64 bit, computer displays error "Not accessible - parameter is incorrect. HD, indicator light flashes at startup, only display is F drive letter.
Device Manager indicates that WD My Book HD is working properly and driver is most current installed. Help will be most appreciated.

With an external drive, I don't expect it is a problem, but there is a BIOS limit at 3GB. Search at the WD website for troubleshooting.

Hi BobbyScot. Click Start< in the Start search box type Create and format hard disk partitions and hit enter. The Disk Management window will open. Is the hard drive shown as being formatted and active?

Many thanks for assistance replies. HD displayed the drive allocated letter, but did not show capacity box. After several attempts plus a restore, it also required to move the usb adapter and cable from the USB 3 to USB 2 socket before drive was recognised and working. 3TB drive says it is USB 3 but in my case only works with the computers USB 2 socket. Well at the moment, drive is now working satisfactory. Again, thank you for help.
