Thank you for the links.

I got interested in security about two years ago, and I think I was a minority at the time. That's when I came upon sites like SpywareInfo - Wilders - net integration (present home of SpyBot).

And what a change! The number of threads/posts at the above sites has exploded as the amount of malware has expanded and users have discovered that the Net has become distinctly less safe and friendly.

In the earlier days I saw so many "why do I need a firewall" and "why do I need an AV - I'm carefull" posts or a lot of "I thought security was for the paranoid" attitude. Well, those days are gone.

Charles - I wish they really were gone. The folks we see posting on here have mostly wised up but the base of clueless users out there is still huge.

Witness the number of infected posts you get that must have been relayed on by an infected PC user.
