When I try to log on to aol or when closing winamp, I get the following message. "Winamp or Waol has performed an illegal operation and will shut down ". I have read other kernel32.dll problems but they all seem specific to that problem. Is there a general solution for all these problems?

It would help if you clicked the "details" button and copy down the exact error message, for example, "WAOL caused an invalid page fault in
    module KERNEL32.DLL "
    see
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q293165
Error Message: WAOL Caused an Internal Protection Fault in Module Kernel32.dll (Q293165)

For both "WAOL caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL" and "program caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll "
    see
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q282997
Indications of Virus Infection from the W32/KRIZ Viruses (Q282997)

Also it may help if you gave your Win95 version, for example, mine is 4.00.950 B. Your version could be simply 4.00.950 or 4.00.950 A. You can right-click My Computer and select Properties to find your windows version.

Since I upgraded from 95 to Me, I have been experiencing these problems. The version of Me is 4.90.3000. Each problem does not give the option of details. Since this installation, AOL 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0 were added by the upgrade. I deleted 5.0 and 6.0. These are the following problems: 1) Winamp has caused an error in Kernel32.dll. Winamp will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer. 2) Waol and Grokster present the same messages. Can anyone help me?
