    Hi all,

Alright, I have a T60p with a 15" SXGA+ LCD. I simply want to upgrade it to a 15" UXGA LCD. A friend of mine said that since I was replacing the SAME size screen, on the SAME type and model #'s, and since my video card fully supports UXGA, it should be a "piece of cake ".

I don't like the T61/p's. No more IPS Flexview's. And T60p's with UXGA are virtually impossible to find. Because I freelance for IBM, I get extras like that for free, so there is no cost issue either.

Everything points to: Let the Crunch have his freaking screen, so he'll shut up. :D

What say you, fellow laptop enthusiasts? I so love this machine. The cabling and all of that should be the same, no? I am definitely comparing apples to apples, am I not?

I beg of thee to tell me good news! :)

Please dopn't take my comments as rude, that's not my intention at all. But gosh darn't CrunchDude, you don't need our opinions to do this! In fact, I (possibly we) have been anticipating your thread that details the successful screen swap you have done! With photos too! Let's face it, will you rest easily until you have the screen you so desire? Go for it!

TonyT, no, you're right. I have a problem with never being satisfied with anything even when it's already nearly the best. Sorry for posting this thread. When I had my BMW 540i LOADED, I looked at 850i V12's. And the worst of them all, my ex girlfriend. Dumb Crunchie should have married that angel instead of looking for more more more...better better better...:(

Thanks for setting me straight, dude. Sorry for posting this nonsense.

Hey dude - echo TonyT - we look forward to hearing of your experiences with a screen swop - you've not a lot to lose if you get the screen FOC :).
