Hi all...long time without any visits here but I have a dillema.

I have purchase requests in HTML format that I open (as do many other people in our organization for that matter) and I don't want to keep right clicking the Allow active content bar and selecting "Allow blocked content" in Internet Explorer.

I see this setting in IE/options/Advanced/Security/ "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer ". However, after checking information for this setting on the internet, enabling this setting will allow any program with active content to run on my computer.

What I want do is this: Allow active content files in this path or specificly named files in the path C:\Documents and Settings\joeuser\Local Settings\Temp\Purchase_1.htm to run freely.

I've tried doing this in the Security tab by creating the path file://m555777/Documents and Settings/joeuser/Local Settings/Temp/Purchase_1.htm. However, this doesn't even seem to work and it shortens it to file://m555777.

    Can anyone help with this?

If you have more questions please let me know.

    Thanks

AFAIK it is all or nothing.

Your other option would be to run another instance of your OS in a VM (Virtual Machine) with the setting to allow all active content to run.
