Want Outlook Express Back

Installed Microsoft Office 97. Outlook took over my email. Reinstalled Office without Outlook. Now the email box under the IE program Tab is empty.
PLUS when I go to my pictures & try to send out a picture as a email outlook pops back up. How do I get rid of OUTLOOK???

 

It sounds like you need to make Outlook Express your default email.
Control Panel> Internet Options> Programs and use the drop down arrow to select and highlight your choice.

That doesn't work. Even went to the regedit & got OE to show up in the program>email tab, where it wasn't before. But now when I make it my default Email it doesn't still work. So I open OE & the default button is not selected. When I select "make OE my default email" It undoes it in the IE>programs>email Tab.
I need to get Outlook completely out of my system.
Outlook comes up even when I try to send a picture from my pictures folder.
