    Hi all,

We currently experiencing an unusually slow wait period when a end-user tries to open a file off the W2K3 server. This applies to any sort of application, but seem to be noticed mostly with excell or word.

Any idea's as what may be casusing the time it takes for a file to be opened off the server much longer than ordinary?

We have a very new Dell Poweredge Server with plenty of juice for our network demands....only 40 clients.

Please advise if you might know what could be the issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kevin

At a guess, the networking files may not be the latest.

Try downloading and installing DUN 1.4. I know the title is Dial Up Networking but it also contains updates to many of the TCP/IP and other networking files.
