Nope. You can install one version but not both.

Yes , but you will need 2 licensed copies of Windows 7 - you cannot use the same key for both installations.

Can I dual boot 32bit and 64bit Windows 7, and if I can how?
    Yes

The only good reason for running 64 bit Windows 7 is that you can use more than 4 Gb RAM

XP mode is only available in 7 Pro and above
    ??

You should run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the XP computer to assess suitability.

Sorry to contradict you, Steve, but you can - see link above, but you require 2 licensed copies.

You were posting while I was researching/compiling :)

You cannot buy the Starter Edition - it only comes pre-installed on computers. Which version depends on whether or not you need Win XP mode on 32 bit - if you do you need Pro, if you do not Home Premium.
If you want to use more than 4 Gb RAM you must run 64 bit. If you have more than 4 Gb RAM installed 32 bit will only use ~3.3 Gb.
