I have a W2k server setup as a web server and a RRAS server. I have enable port 1723 in my router to pass the traffic from my static ISP IP to my server at 192.168.0.167. When i attempt to VPN into it from my XP worstation through the ISP IP address I get unreachable, but when I VPN using the 192 ip I can connect. I used the pptpsrv and pptpclnt with the same results of sending packets via 192 and not from my outside ip. What am I missing?
Any advise help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cookjn,

This is an exerpt from the Microsoft Knowledge Base that may shed some light. Please read carefully on the Summary of paragraph 2 as Windows 2000 does not support incoming traffic from the external network to an internal PPTP server behind the NAT server. You can create the port mapping to 1723, but there is no way to create a special port mapping for GRE protocols as it doesn't use TCP or UDP headers.
