W2K boots before Norton anti virus system scan finishes. W2K will also reboot itself before Norton defrag finishes. Ran Dr Watson. Nothing in log. Do not know why W2K boots itself.

For a few hours W2K would reboot after I dialed in and connected to my ISP. W2K rebooted itself about 10 times before I was finally able to stay online.

Turned off automatic reboot in the advanced window of system under startup and recovery to see if a "blue screen" would appear. This did not work. The last automatic W2K reboot did not show any addition information.

Are there any diagnostics I can run to help debug this problem? Should I re-format and reinstall W2K and then all my applications?

That's what I'd do, and also get rid of the Norton utilities (except antivirus). The defrag in win2k is Diskeeper Lite, better than Nortons defrag. Plus, most all of the Norton utilities already exist in native form in win2k.
