    Hello Everyone,

A bit late, but Happy New Year!

I have just upgraded from XP Prof to W.7 Home Premium.

I have a Logitech cordless optical mouse and keyboard.

The mouse is fine and works well.

    The keyboard has issues.

The actual keyboard works with no problem

The F-Keys do not function at all.

The Hot-Keys function - but I am unable to configure them to the location that I would wish.

I have the original CD but it does not include W.7 in it's operating type data.

It has iTouch 2.16 marked on it and it also only has XP; Me; 2000; 98 NT 4.0 written on it. The code printed beneath the hole in the CD is - 602042-0920. Windows 7 is not mentioned.

I find "Configure" in the drop down list, but after clicking it, nothing happens (immediately!)

I have tried right-clicking on it in the folder in my programme files, and clicking on the "troubleshoot compatibility" choice, but it is not of any use.

 If anyone has any input, apart from W.7 is incompatible with it, or it is incompatible with W.7, I would be glad to learn how to overcome this issue.

I have removed the Logitech installed programme from the computer, and everything still works as I have described.

Many thanks for any feedback, in advance.

    Colin

Have you actally logged on to the Logitec website to see if there are Win 7 drivers/software available?

    Hello Pete C,

Yes, that was the first thing that I did. they replied -

"Thank you for your contacting Logitech's Electonic Technical Support.

I am sorry to inform you that we do not have available software for your combo running with windows 7.

But your keyboard should work to its normal function.

Thank you for choosing Logitech.Have a great day! "

(I tried to have a great day, but it was a little less than 'great'.)

I had an idea that I was being 'fobbed off', considering that W7 and Logitech are supposed to work compatibly, one would assume that the keyboard would have a compatibility with W.7. - or vice versa, seems that I was wrong. I came here to find out if there was a way around the problem.

If I have wasted your time - I am sorry.

    Regards

    Colin

Not at all - time is never wasted trying to help out :)

Have you tried right clicking the software executable > Troubleshoot Compatability - 7 will set a compatability mode if possible.

    Logitech & W.7

    Pete C,
As you will note I mentioned that in my first post, sorry if it was not clear! Looks like I shall have to wait until one or the other manages to 'build' in a compatibility. (I am having the same problem with a Sony Ericsson phone that will not now connect to the computer either by cable, bluetooth or infra red!)

    Thanks for you efforts.

    Regards

    Colin.

    Pete C,

No problem! No offence taken or implied!

Seems like I will have to close this thread - or at least stop following it, I feel that there is no solution in sight! :(

    Many thanks for your interest.

    Regards

    Colin.
