OKay...here it goes! I received this error OE-0028:00000017 in VXD--- 0028: C001D218 in VXD NDIS (01) 00005B30- It may be possible to continue..yada yada yada.....now, what does all this mean! I downloaded Winmx..tried to search for a song and my screen turned blue and this OE error was on my screen. I don't get this message any other time, just when I go to WINMX....I've gone to microsoft database and Infinisource.com, though very informative, neither had a code exactly like this one...HELP!

    Moving to Other Internet Software.

Winmx is file sharing software, and NDIS is a network protocol.

If I put 1 and 1 together, I would loose Winmx.....

    Your welcome!

I assume that loosing Winmx solved the error?

Thanks Brett, but I do have a question? When I clicked on the link kazaalite.com I went to a website that had this on the front page.

"There has been reports of strange errors on the server. Cant reporduce it yet. Try clearing cache "
Then upon entering site I get this.......

" "1. Kazaalite.com, and its Administrators, staff and associates; are in no way affiliated or connected with Kazaalite.tk, the project "Kazaalite ", the creators of Kazaalite nor the creators of Kazaa and its owners Sharman Network.

    "
We do not support, condone nor defend the use of Kazaalite.

and this more important then the rest..

    "3. Kazaalite.com is a News-based Website
Kazaalite.com is not a site devoted to the project known as "Kazaalite" nor are we affiliated with its creators. We are a news site with news on Peer2Peer (P2P) software developments. We also have news on other issues we classify as important such as news on Windows. The site Kazaalite.com uses the Postnuke (www.postnuke.com) Content Management System which has a primary focus on delivering news and interactivity such as instant messages and message boards. All modules on the website are part of the Postnuke package unless otherwise stated.

Now is this cause for concern or just a sort of legal way of saying we don't do what napster did so you won't come after us? I guess I just want to be sure I don't download something that is gonna mess up my system because I'm not that knowledgeable about peer2peer sites..the last one I had was Napster. Then because TechTv said Winmx was a good site I downloaded it, which I'm sure it is a good site just not on my computer..I love music and I would love to find one..so in closing should I worry about all the legal stuff in this website..kazaalite.

I asked about kazaalite and what I saw before I tried to downloaded it..... it was alot of legal stuff..don't know what all of it means.Just wanted to know if it was Safe..any feedback would be great. I'm learning so please bear with me if I ask any stupid questions..Thanks

Sorry, I missed your post somehow. KazaaLite is basically a hacked (to remove the adware) version of Kazaa and the various disclaimers posted on that site are, I think, nothing other than an attempt to lessen the possibility of any Napster-style action by the music industry or copyright infringement action by the developers of Kazaa.

If it makes you feel any more comfortable, I've had KazaaLite installed on one of out machines from several months without any problems.
