VPN Issue

In ordert to reach my corporate Lotus Notes e-mail, I need to go through a VPN . This works fine when in my home office where I use a wireless router for my Internet access. The problem arises when I am traveling. I cannot get through the VPN when working at a hotel or when trying to tether through my Blackberry. In both cases, I can access the Internet. When logging on from Hampton hotels, there is an an option to check a box for VPN users and I do this. I have had my Lenovo T500 with Windows 7 Utlimate (32 bit) checked by our IT dept., and they are at a losss. Any recommendations? My feeling is that is has to do with a setting in the VPN.

The VPN setting would be most probably at your corporate office. Tell your IT staff to check if they have given VPN access to only specific incoming IP's or to all the IP's ?
