I have an Acer laptop computer(5517) and run windows 7.I also have IE9 installed. I noticed that my volume button disappeared from my taskbar. I went to the control panel and to The "system icon on-off section" but the command for on and off is grayed out and will not let me change it to on. Then other icons are all working correctly and are set to on.

I do have volome and can manually adjust the sound.

Not sure what happened but I restarted my computer and the volume icon reappeared!! I guess that will do it for now.
