I can open my volume controls, but they aren't visible. I have a laser mouse that freaks out sometimes (goes all over the screen for no reason) and I think this is what caused my volume controls to move off-screen. I tried making my screen resolution bigger so I could see the controls and move them back on screen, but that didn't work. I really don't know what else to do, can someone help me? It's extremely annoying...

For the mouse problem...optical (laser) mice need a dark, solid-colored mouse pad. If you have one with high contrast, it can cause the cursor to bounce around randomly. Using an optical mouse on a glass surface can have some interesting side effects, too.

Try booting in Safe mode, and arranging the volume controls from there.
