Visual c++ Runtime Error!

I have seen people on this site with this problem. Anyone who can help me I would very thankful. I am getting this error when I right click on my desktop (only on the desktop an no where else all other menus seem to be working fine).

This the Error and it only lets me click "ok ". When I click "ok" all the icons on my desktop disappear alone with me task bar. The programs I have running seem to be uneffected. I got the hijackthis (HJT) program an need help with what to remove. The HJT log File for is as follows:

Others will look at your log, but in the meantime, this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LoadQM] loadqm.exe is such a useless piece of software that I couldn't resist. The resource load that this puts on your system is tremendous.

In addition to Charlevar's advice, this is what I recommend to remove. The first is a borderline item when you installed the Yahoo messenger and I am sure you didn't choose it.
First thing you need to do is to disable System Restore. You will be deleting a few files, and you do not want it putting them back, and you want the bad things out of there. Be sure to reboot.

This error message you are getting is from a program that was compiled using MS Visual Basic, and looking at your list of startups I bet it is one of these doing it.

You do have other unnecessary items. I would remove the following, and then delete all the files in the C:\Windows\Applog folder, it is a Hidden folder.

Supposed to speed up your system by keeping track of frequently used programs, all it does it make Defrag rearrange all your files on your drive and slow you down while it is tracking what the program is accessing.
