Visual C++ 2005 known compatibilitiy issues?

    Gentle people,
    I do hope one of you is able to soothe my pain ...
    For a few days I am now on a new machine running Windows 7 x64 and everything appeared just fine until I tried to install my Visual C++ 2005 compiler on this machine. There is just a short message indicating "there is a known compatibility issue ". Now, I could go on and install C++ 2005, but before I do so it would be nice to know more about this issue.

    Can anybody help?
