As i'm now cleaning up my old Aptiva computer, I've been dealing with a lot of .txt, and .log files. When I make a hijackthis log, it's opened by Visual Basic 6 but it comes up with some error and the text file does not display. This is annoying as the file does not come up and VB6 eats a LOT of RAM. So I have to open the file with notepad, not by directly clicking the file icon. Is there some hidden box to uncheck or setting to change, or is this not changable?

(I believe this is a microsoft hijack :D as I always uncheck the box that makes a program become the 'default' access for a file format in an installation.)

If NT/2K/XP/2K3 then start => run => cmd
If other Microsoft OS then start => run => command

Once you have the 'DOS' window open
    Code:
    assoc .txt=notepad
    and ENTER
