I just had Broni from the malware section help clean my freinds computer(This thread), but a new problem has apearred.

Her toshiba satelite wont connect to the internet on her belkin router but my laptop conects fine to the belkin and her laptop connects to my DLink. Any idea that could cause this?

Also the reason I even started looking at this laptop is her ipod wouldnt sync and I noticed the computers way behind in updates it didnt even have service pack 1, curently has service pack 1 but Im working on that now.

Ok it apears to be something with the dns server on the router as I tryed connecting it direct to the modem and not behind my router and it wont get internet at all

also i reset the ip on the toshiba and it now connects wirelessly to the belkin and gets internet(if the router is behind my router)

By behind my router I ment connected to it like this

internet > Modem > My Dlink router > belkin router > Toshiba laptop

It has been fixed it was the routers mac adress and dhcp settings

Thanks for the help though, sorry for taking your time.

I dont normaly I was fixing the belkin for a freind and was testing it without disturbing the rest of my network in the proccess as everytime I disconect the dlink it disconects all my houses computers, so I try to avoid that when possible.
