Windows Vista Vista Ultimate with xeon processor

    After several attempts in trying to upgrade my HP xw 6200 workstation running WXP Pro, I was told by Microsoft that Vista is not compatible with a xeon processor. HP states otherwise. Please advise.....

    Dell and HP both sell pc's with Xeon's and Vista...

    I have a friend who built a computer with a Xeon and installed Vista on it. It runs fine. Seems to me he had some issues installing Windows but I don't believe it was related to the processor.
