Just bought a new HP Computer that came with Vista. Thinking about going back to XP due to many problems.
Have been using for about one month and can't get use to all the problem with Vista.
One major problem is it will not recognize my 2.0 USB ports. Ports will only run at 1.0. Tried all suggestion with no luck.
Lost two pieces of hardware as vendors say they will not build drivers for my equipment. (Microtek Scanner and a printer. both about 3 years old.)
Have a problem with icons being dropped out of all program list. One is Microsoft Office. (Twice) One of its own.
It seems like playing the lottery every time I boot up. Not really sure what errors Vista is going to give me or what is going to be missing or moved that was their the day before.
Even thought about Virus's, Spyware, and everthing else I could think of. I have scanned my computer with three different programs and all seems OK. Nothing found.
Are their a lot of people going back to XP or just battling it out with Vista.

I have had my HP Vista Home for about 3 months, absolutely no problems, really like it. I found it to be not much different than XP.
When I bought it I asked the sales rep. if my Lexmark printer would be compatable with Vista, he said not likely and that Lexmark won't be releasing any new drivers for a while. My sales rep. sold me a HP 3 in 1 for $29.00.
