I don't use Vista but wife does.

I wanted to share a file from her laptop computer to my Dell on our network but I couldn't find the shared folder on Vista even after going to help.

My question for someone with Vista... I'm attaching the this screen shot . I don't "think" the Users Folder was showing before I messed with things. I know the printer was already there. So I'm asking is the Users Folder suppose to be there there? If not, is it safe to delete it?

This probably sounds as clear as mud.

I have since open my computer from her's and dropped the file I wanted in my Shared Folder. I should have done this at first.

    Thanks

Can you right-click on that listing and see what menu options are available?

Did you share that folder (Users)? You may just need to go back and "Not Share" it.

The Users Folder is a standard Vista folder (the replacement of Windows XP's Documents and Settings). You should leave it well alone!
