Windows Vista Vista - Older Sound Driver List

Has anyone found any older sound cards that seem to be supported in Vista with drivers ?

 

I've got an old Sound Blaster Live card that works although not completely. When I installed Vista I had no sound because Vista didn't have a driver for it. Creative isn't supporting it anymore so you can't get drivers there. However, the first time I visted Windows Update I was offered a driver for it. I downloaded and installed it and the sound works fine. However, the microphone doesn't work. All recording and chat programs seem to see it and allow me to select it but for some reason it doesn't work.

When I first installed it, I searched the net and found many others with the same problem but never found an answer as to how to fix it. Perhaps it's time to try again.
