Is support for Vista OEM ending July 13 along with XP SP2?

    Hi Ann,

What leads you to believe that?

Do you mean the version of Vista without any service pack? For Vista is in mainstream support until 2012.

And I believe that support was cut on April 13th, unless it was delayed or I've misread something.

Support for Vista RTM - i.e. Retail Vista with no Servive Packs ended April 13th

AFAIK support for Vista SP1 & Vista SP2 remains current.

If you do not have the Service Packs loaded you will undoubtedly need to download them direct from MS .....

    SP1 ....

Download details: Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Five Language Standalone (KB936330)

    SP2 ....

Download details: Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 - Five Language Standalone (KB948465)

Service Pack 1 is a prerequisite for installing Service Pack 2
