I want to do a clean install of Vista Ultimate on an HP m7640n Multimedia computer. My video isn't compatible according to the Vista upgrade manager however there is a driver for Vista (the video is a GEforce 6150). How can I do the installation using the vista driver? OR

Can one do an installation using a generic video and then install the driver after the O/S is installed? That was possible using NT4.

    Thank you.

p.s. I have checked out new video cards using the HCL and know that's ultimately the best way to go, but rather not spend the extra $$ right now.

Download the driver for Vista, put it on a USB key or a CD. Vista will install itself using the basic vga driver, and you can then install the correct driver.
