Windows Vista Vista and and Drivers

    I have been getting two diffirent lines of information.
    Pre vista the authoritative word is that the driver catalogue was much more compehensive than XPs'.
    I have read from authoritative sources that the driver list is actually quite limited.
    Another source says that Vista goes online to Microsoft to find drivers and that there is very good support .
    What is the truth and various people's experiences ?

    Creating drivers is pretty much the job of the hardware companies. Many of these companies are a day late and a dollar short.

    That's why running the Upgrade Advisor is a good idea....

    Vista and and Drives

    Had Vista for four day and I am going back to xp. Ther will be no new drives until mid-spring. So printers will have drivers only if you have the Vista software, if not wait time will be sometime in the summer.
