I have a virus that started with a simple hour glass that would pop up and time out my phone while I was typing, surfing the web, or simply using the phone. It then began to interfear with my ability to sync my phone to my desk top program. I kept getting warnings like " connection error" followed by "all information was not able to be sync'd ". I also use my phone as an internet connection while im doing my chemo at the hospital. That way I dont miss any classes. The virus has now begun to time out to internet connection crashing my computer and my phone link with it. I have been trying things on my own to fix this. I have updated my software on my phone. I have checked for updates for my desk top program. I have done a master reset on my phone. While doing this the hour glass popped up and stayed up during the process. Finding a way to protect itself. The master rest did erase all of my data however it did not reset it back to factory. I am also still left with the virus. I do everything to keep my phone healthy. I dump my cookies n cache daily. I also leave my phone on and twice a week I pull my battery. I keep my texts cleared daily and my emails. This is still however the third BlackBerry im having to get due to this same problem. I am so lost now.

    melnmatt,

I'm sorry. I may have misguided you. From reading the above your issue is with your Blackberry not your Computer. Our Malware analyst may be able to provide assistance but it's unlikely as this is a PC board.

Have you read through the BlackBerry - Security Knowledge Base?
