I believe I have some form of Virus and not sure what it is or how to remove it yet.

Basically I am unable to ping, use Internet Explorer, etc. I am on a firewall router, other computers are working fine. However, the computer with the problem, I am able to do nslookup and play online games that uses different port. Such as Star War Galaxies

Any idea what virus it is and how to remove it? I am using Symantec Anti-Virus 2003 and did a full scan already. I also used SpyBot to remove all the stuff on there already.

I tried to reinstall TCP/IP, but the uninstall button is grey out.

Any suggestion? Do you need me to post hijack info on here?

Its also good idea to have another browser installed.,just in case

After running SpyBot or Adaware restart the PC as you normally do and yes post a hijackthis log.(if its version v1.97.7)
I'm not a professional log analyzer other's here are and we can direct you to the proper resources..

Thanks for the info. I have installed the adware and seems to detect a lot of things spyware was not able to detect, which is good.

Another interesting thing is that I installed Mozilla. That worked well.

Any how, the adware was able to resolve the problem.

    Thanks!

So the problem is gone now ? good if so .

I think unless SpyBot was updated the 17th and 31 (dec)
it could have broken the lsp stack when removing a paticular bad guy,, whick may have been the problem //

did your hijackthis log have a broken internet access entry ?

I use both spybot and adware ,, each finds things the other doesnt:)
