Download HijackThis.exe from here. Save it to a permanent folder (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT). Open and click scan, then save log. Once it is saved it will open in notepad. Select all from the edit button, copy and paste the results here. Don't fix anything with it yet!

I'll be back later this evening to have a look at it.

You should print this out and/or save it to text where you can access it in safe mode.

Download Pocket Killbox from here: http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip

Extract the file to a folder, then open and double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following:

    C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

Check the box to delete on reboot and click the red X to the right. Click Yes, then NO to the reboot now prompt. Copy the next filepath, paste it in the box, and repeat the above steps. When all of the below filepaths are done, allow it to reboot and start tapping F8 to enable the start menu where you can logon in safe mode.

    C:\WINDOWS\Bolger.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsc10E5.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\gah95on6.exe
    c:\windows\system32\enjdsq.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\abasa5jrp.exe
    c:\windows\system32\lproxt.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\ALGU.EXE
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\DrPMon.dll

Scan again with HijackThis and place a check next to the following entries if present. Close ALL other windows and click fix.

    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
    O2 - BHO: BolgerObj Class - {302A3240-4805-4a34-97D7-1645A0B08410} - C:\WINDOWS\Bolger.dll
    O2 - BHO: ohb - {999A06FF-10EF-4A29-8640-69E99882C26B} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsc10E5.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gah95on6] C:\WINDOWS\System32\gah95on6.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [enjdsq] c:\windows\system32\enjdsq.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [abasa5jrp] C:\WINDOWS\System32\abasa5jrp.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xmedwji] c:\windows\system32\lproxt.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ALGU] C:\WINDOWS\System32\ALGU.EXE
    O16 - DPF: {AE9DCB17-F804-11D2-A44A-0020182C1446} (IntraLaunch.MainControl) - file://D:\Resources\IntraLaunch.CAB
    O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

Now click the config button in HijackThis. Click the Misc Tools button, then Delete an NT Service. Type in SvcProc and click OK.

You will need to show hidden files and folders.

Open C:\Temp if present, select all and delete.
Open C:\Windows\Temp, select all and delete.
Open C:\Windows\Prefetch, select all and delete.
Open C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\temp, select all and delete. Do this for all username folders.
Open the control panel, then internet options and delete the temporary internet files, checking the box for offline content. Close Internet Options. Then, still in the control panel, open the Java Plug-in, click the cache tab and then clear.
Open My Computer, right click Local disk C: and choose properties, then disk cleanup. Check all boxes except compress old files and click OK.

    Reboot back into Windows.

Download MWAV. Save it to your desktop and double click to open. Check the boxes for Memory, Registry, Startup Folders, System Folders, Services, Drive, All Local Drives and Scan All Files, then click scan. When it completes, copy the lower window labled Virus Log Information and post it here, along with a new HijackThis scan.

svcproc.exe and nail.exe are related and tough to remove sometimes. If you do not actually delete those files prior to running hijackthis, they will be present in following hjt scans, they keep coming back. So you MUST actually delete thos 2 files prior to doing a final hjt scan/fix.

Then run your antivirus program with newest updates to clean out the trojan downloaders that the antispyware tools miss. (They WILL miss some trojans that install nail.exe and scvproc.exe.)

I spent a half hour alone cleaning those two files and their related trojans last night!

You are correct Tony, which is the reason for Killboxing those files first. I did however miss svcproc. Did you also look for Bolger.dll and DrPMon.dll?

    Adam,

Add C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe to the list of filepaths to be entered into Killbox.
