    SAY WHAT??

I believe I see that word SHARED. Who or what ever that folder is being * SHARED * with may very well be infected also.

Whether it be another user on the same machine or If on a Network, other machines.

Is it the same Virus every time ? If so I suggest that you TROUGHLY check any and all backups of any type for all users and/other machines.

Especially if you are using Windows ME and have the System Restore activated.

E-Mail + Shared may equal being sent out to other users via e-mail also.

    virus info:
    W32.Nimda.enc
    file name: mpeg.eml
    type: Internet E-Mail Message
    size: 77.3 KB
    --------------------------

i have 2 computers on a LAN network (both mine), and both systems keep getting this virus in the 'Shared Folder'.
i ran a full system scan on both PC's and found nothing
the shared folder is the only shared resource on both PC's. but i do not share that folder outside the LAN network.

    --------------------------
both PC's use WinXP Pro and Norton 2003

Disconnect the network and run a full scan on each machine before reconnecting.

    This sounds similiar

The above link may be of some help as to where the Virus may be located and why Norton did not find it.

It also mentions ( as I did ) backup files.
