Studio 9 reports that it is running out of virtual memory very early on in any work I try to do.
    This is a new problem.
How can I change settings to enable a suffeciently large Virtual Memory please?

    Hello Dearolpete,

Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance section > Settings > Advanced tab > Virtual Memory section > Change button.

I'm assuming that the System Managed Size is ticked.

    You'll see:

    Minimum

    Recommended

    Currently allocated

If its system managed, then it is 1.5 X the RAM (installed memory). How much memory do you have installed?

You can change to Custom and make the VM size larger, but there is a penalty for that - the system will slow down because of paging, meaning more drive access as the system swaps out what the RAM is holding. You can try this and see the effects. The better solution is to add more memory.

    Regards - Charles

    Thanks for the information Charles.
The problem seems to have solved itself but I have re-checked the sytem control as you suggested since I had tried the alternative option previously.
