When I start a game from the computer I get the following:
    16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\S32EVNT1.DLL. An installable Virtual Device Driver failed Dll Initialization. Choose "Close" to termintate the application.
    Close Ignore
The computer came with Symantec which I uninstalled with RevoUninstaller and Norton Remove. I did a Search for S32EVNT1.DLL and found nothing. I Click Close and I cannot use the game. I Click Ignore and can use the game. It is an old game, which may be why it is called 16 bit. I can open the game, but it is a pain.

Suggest you download the 30 day cripple free trial of jv16PowerTools and use the Registry Find tool to search for any references to Symantec and remove them - back up the keys first as prompted. Assuming of course that you have no other Symantec software installed :)

All Symantec and Norton have been removed by RevoUninstaller which removes Registry parts while it uninstalls and Norton remove. I have yet to find any that are left.

Thanks PeteC!! I had removed the VDD as shown in "service1 ", but I had not added VDD as shown in "Windows Networking ". It is added and now the notice is gone when I open the game. I will get these things added to my miles of papers in case this happens again. Thanks Again!
