    Hi!

I have a problem that's REALLY bugging me. A while ago I installed a virtual CD drive on my XP system. The app I used was one called "discindisk ". Since it didn't fulfill my requirements I uninstalled it.

When I later tried to burn a CD in my regular HP cd16n it failed and the burningapp (nero) log said it had something to do with my scsi drive....I don't own anything with scsi. The virtual drive however is a scsi imgae drive.

So the drive was still sitting on my device manager and it won't uninstall...it just keeps popping up. I can't get rid of it. I tried to e-amil the discindisk guys with no luck.

I would really appreciate some ideas since I can't use my burner anymore about 10 failures in a row (I just keep trying:)

    thanks

Do you have a URL/Web Site for this app?

Your link is not working for me (404 Error).

Anyway, I found the application and installed it, and had one hell of a job getting rid of it. The only way I could remove the virtual CD ROM in Windows Explorer was to use Customizer XP and un-check [in my case, M:].

Depending on your O/S, try using the above or TweakUI may do the trick. That is one lousy application.

Post back with your results (you may even have to format and start again). I am going to restore an image I created before trying it out.

hehe it sure is one lousy app.

I tried to remove the letter with windows internal disk manager. The problem seems to be the device in "device manager ", that I can't get rid of. though.

But I'm able to delete the drive letter.
