We have lived in Amarillo and Dallas, TX, Albuquerque, NM and now in Springfield, VA (Washington DC suburb) for 30 years. By choosing the screen name Virginia I have a similar situation to Geri's in that many people assume I am female - didn't think about that when I signed up - but not a problem.

I retired from the Defense Department 12 years ago at age 54 and my wife and I have focused on traveling to see as much of the world as we can before our bodies begin to give up on us. We have been in 70 different countries since I retired. Just returned from Peru, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands this past weekend. We moved into a retirement community 4 years ago so we could rid ourselves of the care and upkeep of a house and have more time for our travel.

I really do appreciate all the time and effort everyone spends on this Board helping others solve their problems. I am able to jump in occasionally to add something but there aren't a lot of questions posted that are simple enough for me to answer - and someone else usually beats me to the punch on those that are. I am particularly in awe of those who move and shake in the malware removal area. It must take hours to review the lengthy scans that are produced and completely clean up some of the problems that are posted there.

Well, the name Virginia certainly had me fooled! I live near you and in the past when I offered assistance I had imagined knocking on the door of a quaint grandmother, mouse still in hand as she opened the door!

    Enjoy your travels!
