viewing status bar by default

    in IE6/WinXP i cant get the status bar to appear by default, i keep having to select manually? any clues? thanks

    In Internet Explorer click on View and make sure there is a check mark in Status bar.
    Don't close this window.
    Open up Windows Explorer and again View and check Status Bar. Then go into Tools\Folder Options\View and click on "Apply to all Folders ". Close both windows.
