This is for Outlook 2003 SP3
I want to set one of the folders to display emails by address only under (to or from field) instead of display name. Is this possible? This will make sorting a lot easier, since it adds ' character or sometimes different name to the address.

    Thanks!

I don't think this is possible unless, for the To field your Address Book lists your contacts as someone@isp.com as the name rather than someone.

As far as incoming emails are concerned the format will depend on the sender.

Are your Contacts->Display Names already setup as addresses?

PeteC, thanks. I wonder if there is any plugin that can just avoid displaying "Display Name" of the sender or people whom I sent e-mails to.

Steve, the reason I want to do this under a single folder is, so that when I sort them all the different names (that I used to send e-mail previously) would be eliminated. I don't have problem with the e-mails I am sending now, as everyone is correctly set up with good Display fields, but those I sent previously, or imported from OE, have different names. It makes it difficult to find the previous e-mail I sent to that person in that folder, when the time comes to follow up on that e-mail.

I had to set up flags and tick them completed to remind me that I followed up, and sent another e-mail to them.

If you are using Outlook should have mentioned that :)

Outlook is not in my area of expertise - never used it.
