When I clicked on an email attachment, a window opened asking me this file is to be opened with what program. I used Adobe and the "open with this program all the time" was checked. Well when I open the attachment, I get nothing but codes and cant read it. I need to know how to change it so I can read the attachment.

    Thank you
    Jeff

Look at the extension on the filename of that attachment. That will give you some guidance as to what program will be suitable to use for opening it.

Then, select the attachment by clicking on ot once. Then hold the Shift key down while right clicking it. You should get a context menu that has the "Open With" option on it. If not, try the procedure again from the start and be sure you're doing it correctly. When you get that menu, click the "Open With" option and scroll the screen until you come to the proper program and select it. If you want to always use that program for this file type, you'll see a box to tag for that option.

OK out and the file should open properly.

If you aren't sur ewhat program to use, post the filename here and someone will help further.
