View registry details

Is it possible to view the registry on another installation if the drive is a slave on a working PC?

I have to reinstall/repair an XP OS. Unfortunately the user has lost the keycode. I can put the drive in another PC and view the contents but I'm not sure where to look to find the installation details. is this possible?

Not sure if its readable though - you're going to have to find a program for that.

FYI: a program like Belarc Advisor shows the XP product code.
