I am trying to play video I used my cell sd card to my copy onto the computer. files are .gp, .3g2 and .3gp and I can open it in iTunes but not windows media, even using open with... I like window media better for videos. So it cant play file, I go to microsoft, everything is up to date. The next solutions says:

You are trying to play an MP3 file that contains compressed ID3 headers. The ID3 header is a portion of the file that stores the song's album information (for example, the song name, artist name, album name, and genre). This information is sometimes called a "tag. "

To fix the problem, make a copy of the file and then use a non-Microsoft ID3 tag editing program to remove or reset the file's ID3 headers. After you remove the ID3 headers, Windows Media Player should be able to play the MP3 file.

Attempting to remove ID3 headers might damage the file and make it unplayable. Therefore, always make a copy of the file before you edit it.

If this solution does not resolve the problem, the file might be corrupted.

before I go further... any ideas if this will work? what to use ? TIA

    problem #2

on the ones I have from my newer cell, those all play in windows media fine, BUT have no sound??? they play fine with sound on the cell. What is wrong on these?

Windows Media Player is not one of the better media players, but it works well with windows.

Have you considered converting the files to .wmv

For all conversions, I use a program called Super. But I have only used it with XP. I have never installed it on my Vista computer.

This program is free and it has never failed me, but again, I have Not installed it on my Vista computer
