    ATI Rage Pro Turbo 2X AGP with 4MB SGRAM

    can I upgrade from this to that?:confused:

    ATI RADEON 7500 graphic processor, AGP 4x interface, 64 MB (DDR SDRAM)

    I have an etower 500ix

    Looks like a major improvement. However, the improvement will be less when a slower processor is involved.

    I wasn't able to determine if your motherboard supports 4x AGP, but even if you run it at 2x, you'll see improvement.

    ATI cards are very good, and since some benchmark tests seem to have been "fixed" by NVidia, ATI's may be as fast or faster. I like them, anyway.

    Be sure to go to ATI's site and get the most recent Catalyst driver and Control Panel. I don't think XP's supports OpenGL and probably 98 doesn't, either.
